A Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On...........

From the web site www.quake.usgs.gov:

A minor earthquake occurred at 8:45:10 PM (PDT) on Sunday, May 17, 2009.
The magnitude 3.1 event occurred 0 km (0 miles) SSE of Lennox, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 12 km ( 7 miles).

OH MY GOSH!!!

We were sitting in the living room watching TV when the earth started to shake. However, at first I didn't realize it was a earthquake. I thought it was Koa North sleeping, because sometimes when he sleeps he dreams and shakes!!! If he is close enough to the sofa he can shake it a little. So, I looked down -- but no Koa!!! I looked up at Kevin and Nick (Uncle Nick is here for the weekend) and said to them "are we having an earthquake?" They both looked at me and said "YES!!!"

Oh I didn't like that one bit!!!
The ground is not supposed to shake under my feet!!!

Just another thing to learn to live with here in Southern California!!!

Until next time........
love from a "shaking" San Diego

Oh my! I wouldn't like that, either! The ground isn't supposed to move like that.

I think it's hilarious that Koa can shake the couch. What a big dog!

Hopefully you're all done shaking....
