Yesterday afternoon we headed downtown to the Gaslamp Quarter because

It was a thrill for us to be at the park on Opening Day and to start the celebration of the Padres 40th Season!!!

Before the start of the game -- the SDSU Marching Band came out onto the field and made a GIANT #40. And then they played the National Anthem while the entire stadium sang along!!!
San Diego Padres vs Los Angeles Dodgers!

The boys sat and watched the game and cheered on the Padres!!!
The Friar rang the Rally Bell!!!!

And my boys put on their rally caps!!!

With the final pitch.....
We knew our rally didn't work -- and our "hometown" Padres lost.

And my boys put on their rally caps!!!

With the final pitch.....

We all enjoyed the festivities, the fun, the food, and the All American game of Baseball!!!
We are looking forward to many more spring/summer days at Petco Park!!!
Go Padres!!!

You do so much with the boys--you would be fantastic tour guides! You definitely make the most of each place you're posted. That's awesome, thinking of all the experiences the boys will have by the time they grow up. What fun! And what great memories for all of you!
Ohhhhh.... your sister is going to be jealous!
Michelle, I'm BEYOND jealous...but I'm working on just excepting it!! HA!! :)
What a fun fun time for you guys! Glad you are getting to experience the fun at Petco!!!
