Where did May go? Those last few weeks flew by....I guess we were having fun!! Now here we are the beginning of June getting ready for the end of the school year and looking forward to summer vacation!!! But first, I'm sure you all (yes, all three of you that read this blog) want to see what we did before May was done!!!
The weekend before Memorial Day weekend we went up to Mount Soledad! The memorial is a very moving tribute to the men and women of our armed forces and the view of the city is beautiful from up there!! Jack had a play date with a boy from his class here at our house and they had a great time. The set up all of Jack's dinosaurs and had "dino wars" for about 2 1/2 hours!! We also went out to the Wild Animal Park for something very special......so here is our last week of May in pictures!!!

Before celebrating the long holiday weekend homework had to be done!!!
Jack's favorite game at school to play with all is friends is called "4 square". He loves it so much that we often play here at home too!!!

The boys have done a lot of reading this month. Jack's new favorite series of books is the "Magic Tree House" but he will still sit and read a book to Nick!!!
We have done a lot of bike riding too!! Nick has gotten so good on his balance bike and loves to ride up and down our street!!!
Jack loves to ride his bike too.......now he is trying tricks on his bike!!! Makes his Momma really nervous, but he thinks it is "so cool!"
Memorial Day weekend we all headed here for a fun family day!!
We packed our lunch for a picnic in the park and had a great time!!!
We love being out at the Wild Animal Park and seeing all the animals!!!
But, the real reason we went out to the park was for this.............
That's right -- DINO MOUNTAIN!!! We had two very excited little boys about getting to see and hear the dinos that for the summer will be living in the hills of "Condor Ridge!"
The dinos were so amazing!!! The boys loved it, even if at times they were a little frightened!!!
And no trip to the WAP would be complete without a ride on the carousel!!! Nick has never really been a fan of it up until this trip!!!

second - i was JUST thinking that i was going to have to teach jack how to play four square because i LOVE that game!!! BUT - he already knows it, so I'm going to have to get a ball so we can play!!!

Sounds like a great weekend. Somewhere near the WAP there's an orchard where you can pick oranges....We stumbled upon it by accident, and it was quite fun. Just a house where you pay the guy, then an orchard where you fill your bag. Yum.
I'm glad you updated; I'm always amazed at how much you all pack into your weekends! The boys obviously had a blast, and you and Kevin looked like you were enjoying yourselves, too. :)
